Actually, I wanted to take a road trip from vellore to Kanyakumari. So, I was waiting for a perfect time to fulfill my wish. On sep 2016, the time came as excepted, I changed oil of my P220 with motul 7500, then changed my front tire since it is totally flat, and that set my p220 is ready to accompany for the trip. My Friend mr pritam, was willing to be my pillion driver throughout the trip. So we grabbed all the necessary things and started our journey a kind of an endurance trip. Around 630 Am, we both started from vellore and was travelling towards salem. As we planned to visit, vellore-salem-dindugul-madurai-kanyakjmari-Trivanduram-Vagamon-theni-dindugul-vellore. In between vellore to salem not many places are there to relax. Just like that one can drive no hassles. We reached outskirts of salem by 9:30 and had our breakfast then visited salem to buy helmet for him. Since it was a sunday we cannot find many shops, finally we located a  helmet shop and bought a studds helmet for him. Then we left salem by 11:20AM and started towards madurai. From salem to madurai, so dry lands no water heat on the roads started to take toll on us. We taught of eating in dindugul, but because of the over bridge we left the turn since, we are already behind the time schedule we continued our ride. One can find lot of small tea shops along the road, some big hotels not a decent motel is there. Nearing Madurai, we stopped at CCD, to have some snacks,  after a rest for half an hour we started. It took us nearly 7 PM to reach Kanyakumari we missed seeing the sunset. With some disappointment and total dryness we are in a dilemma to stay in kanyakumari or to reach trivanduram. After some argument Mr. Pritam suggested to reach trivandarum and stay there. So we began our travel around 7 30 Pm after a tea brake towards trivanduram. Although zig zag roads are fabulous to drive, vehicles with high beam is a real pain in ass. We spent some time to have dinner and to relax. After 930 PM traffic was less, with bit showers and we rached hotel in pazhapura, park. While online booking showed some lesser amount, being there they demanded more than what we see online. Since it is already 11PM and we don’t want to go in search of hotel we chose that and stayed there.

They told it is a three star but it is an average hotel, with not so clean washrooms, bed is quite good no worries about insects, then food taste will be not so good and will come with tax. Then i started to church where my friend’s wedding taking place after spending some quality time there, i started towards the hotel. While returning i lost the route due to poor gps, then i stopped and enquired auto people they pointed me the right direction. After reaching there me and Mr. Pritam had our lunch and started to vagamon. Trivandarum is a nice city, with beach and many places you need at least one or two days to explore trivanduram. We asked people in and around to verify gps, and started to vagamon @ 12 30 PM. Kollam State highway is pretty good, though it is not one way easily three vehichles can go parallely. We started feeling escence of kerala, good climate, less polluted water, sorry zero polluted air, moderate traffic, roads without pathholes, a feelsome ride. Around 6 PM suddenly it started raining heavily. We planned to reach vagamon by 10 PM. So, we appareled ourselves with the rain coat and started our ride. After some kilometers rain stopped, and we had some snacks in a road shop. around 6 30 PM we experienced total darkness. It’s better to travel in daylight, since in night u will experience total loneliness in this road. The reflector in the road is life saver, if no reflectors the turnings and zig zag roads wont be visible. Nearing vagamon we started doubting whether we are in the right road, since nobody is there and we are into dense forest, with moderate showers. After enquiring people and making some mistakes, we found that we are travelling in the right road. The nights fog, trees sorrounding the road, total darkness, loneliness

for long hours added the needed adventureous esscence to our trip. Around 10 PM, we saw a sign board saying 17 Kilometers to reach vagamon. We are literally happy, phoned, hotel holiday vagamon where we pre booked. our room and ensure them we are on our way. Then started to vagamon, started climbing hill, in full foggy area, it took us nearly 1 hour to reach vagamon. lot of lorries and tempos are evident during the hill climbing at night then make sure you are safer. We saw few locals boozing in the dark and riding their bike like riding in track racing. Though they looked at us they dint do any harm, around 11 00 while reaching vagamon, we cant even see any shops or people, the town is sleeping. From vagamon, the hotel holiday vagamon is 12 kilometers away. Offline map helped us in locating the hotel. to our surprise the hotel management guy met us with smile and enquired about us like a relative. All our travel tiredness were no more once v r into holiday vagamon. A perfect stay, he showed our cottage, happily we started looking in and around and took some snaps and slept for a while. The Hotel management knocked at our door saying breakfast ready, we had some food, got ready took some snaps. We are really astonished  by the beauty of vagamon. she is a lovely town sorrounded by green mountains and with full of fog always. Then from vagamon we started our journey towards kumily. Roads are typical Kerala roads, with total nature and rain around us. We are totally lost in nature by seeing the greeneries . Then by afternoon 2 PM we reached kumily and had our lunch not many hotels are there. Around 4 we reached the straight theni road, then again we travelled to dindugul. The driness of madurai kanyakumari is not evident in this road. From dindugul we started to salem and reached around 10 PM. Though we had a plan to make our stay in salem Mr. Pritam insisted that not to stay in salem and better to reach home town. So again we started towards dharmapuri, while exiting salem, rain attacked us. We waited for some time but no sign of stopping so we managed to ride. Heavy rain and busy salem highway take a toll on our speed, we managed to reach osur by moring 1 AM. The water stagnate in road is a nightmare, sometime speeding vehicles will flood you with water. This is quite often in this highway, so better not to travel in bike in this highway. Though we are driving slowly, Lorries and Busses will see no mercy and will attack you all along the road with the stagnate water. After vanyambadi toll both, we started driving with some average speed and reached vellore around 4 30 AM. The adventurous and our survival ride gave us many good experiences.
